Roula Akl is a highly accomplished protocol and public affairs professional with over two decades of experience serving at the highest levels of government and private offices in the Middle East. She currently serves as Head of Protocol at the Private Office of HH Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a role she has held since 2006.
Renowned for her discretion, cultural intelligence, and operational excellence, Roula oversees end-to-end protocol and logistics for VVIP delegations, senior government officials, global business leaders, and dignitaries visiting the UAE. Her responsibilities span strategic coordination, high-level stakeholder engagement, and ensuring seamless execution of meetings and official visits, both within and beyond the UAE.
Prior to this, she held senior administrative and management roles in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, including leadership positions with Gulf Air. Roula holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and is fluent in Arabic and English.
